Another month, another update for what’s going on in Viral Loops.
February was a great month in many verticals; the team is killing it, we’re shipping improvements constantly, and we’re exploring uncharted industry territories.
Although the covid situation is challenging at least, I think that we got through it almost unscathed (as unscathed as we could be, considering the situation).
I am really grateful for that.
During the past month, we made some incredible upgrades to Viral Loops.
Let’s see what’s new for Viral Loops users from February 2021 and on.
Simpler Page Editing
We simplified the Page Editors for the Sharing and Subscriber Pages of the Newsletter Referral to help our users live faster.
Improvement 1: Faster section editing
You don’t have to edit the campaign widgets separately to change their appearance and text. To edit the Form of the Sharing Page, edit the Participation Section. To edit the Milestone Widget, edit the Milestone Section.
The Milestone Widget is edited in the Milestone Section settings.
Improvement 2: Global Page Settings
For each Page, there are now global typography and color settings applied to the whole page (including the forms and Milestone Widget).
Improvement 3: Page States
You can now see how the Page will look like before and after someone subscribes or submits the form. Switch between the Form and Sharing state using the control at the top left of the Page Preview:
Klaviyo Integration for the Newsletter Referral
It was a matter of time. We have just added the Klaviyo connection to the Newsletter Referral for all you Klaviyo fans out there. You can now use the Newsletter Referral to grow your list in Klaviyo.
Once the Klaviyo integration is connected, it does the following:
- New subscribers to the Viral Loops campaign are automatically added to your list in Klaviyo.
- If they are already on the list, they are updated with their sharing link and referral count.
- All subscribers of your list are automatically imported to the campaign every 24 hours. This ensures that new subscribers in your list are added to the referral campaign and get their own unique link for sharing.
You can also embed the Email Widget in your newsletter emails in Klaviyo to show the sharing link and sharing options to your subscribers. Copy the embed code from the Finish step of the Campaign Wizard:

We cooked some new code and made the popup load faster for large campaigns created with the Leaderboard Giveaway and Startup Prelaunch ⏱ If your campaign runs above 500k participants, expect some happier participants as the popup loads faster for them now.
